Second ram stick not found...

Hello everyone.
I bought an extra ram stick to upgrade my acer predator g3-572 from 8gb of ram to 16gb. upon installing the ram stick on the motherboard and rebooting my pc, the ram didn't show up. I already checked if both sticks worked and they did. I also checked in CPU-Z if they had the same frequency and they also did. I don't know what to do anymore..

configurations i've tried
Slot1: old stick slot2: new stick
slot1: new stick slot2: old stick
slot1: new stick slot2: empty

With all configurations the pc just booted up regularly without problems but my pc only showed 8gb of ram.
Does anyone know how to help me with this?

I found the problem, something was wrong with the ram slot. It didn't press the ram stick all the way down. I Just pressed it down far enough and closed thé panel so it was forced into places and everything seems to work fine now. It now shows that i have 16gb of ram
