can u help me with my laptop-Acer Aspire E5-476-3675? And if my lap doesn't support NVMe and i still put NVMe, so M.2 slot will
    duff?

No problem, sorry,I also don't know the answer.

Yes, you can install a M.2 NVMe SSD.
Hi, can you please help me with this, I have Aspire A315-51-356P (i3 6006U), it has m.2 slot, can u please tell if NVME would work or not and also the max capacity? thanks a ton in advance.
    Hi,
HWiNFO program doesn't seems to be useful for this model, you can use a M.2 NVMe SSD.

Thanks for your reply mate. The links you have sent are A315-51 with 7th gen or later intel chips. Mine is a sixth gen i3 6006u.
I found following userbenchmarks with i3 6006u. Can u please check them once and tell whether it means nvme can run on 6006u a315-51 also? Or should I play safe and buy sata m.2 which will anyways run.

Kingston A2000 and Crucial P1 looks fine for me, they both give a decent R/W performance but you won't see a massive difference between M.2 SATA and M.2 NVMe SSDs under normal everyday tasks.
Thanks again for your reply @brummyfan2 . I am thinking of getting a crucial p1. Just wanted to ask whether a bios update is necessary before using the nvme. I'm using the bios which came out of the box since 2017. (V1.03) .

Also not really sure why some other community trailblazers are saying in this forum that the service guide of a315-51 says m.2 slot supports sata only. If users benchmarks says nvme is tried by quite some people and also hwinfo shows a pcie x4 bus, i think ideally nvme should run on a315-51-356p.
Yes, any upgrade is the owners responsibility, Acer may have only tested this model with M.2 SATA SSDs and recommends M.2 SATA SSD, so according to Service guide this model supports M.2 SATA SSDs but other users have already tried NVMe SSDs and it seems working, on that basis only I have said that you can use a M.2 NVMe SSD, also I have to mention that HWiNFO information does not relate to your model.
I am assuming you mean to say details shown in hwinfo app is not fully reliable or helpful in case of my model. Because, I have run this hwinfo myself on my own system and share my own screen snaps.

Anyways, I will give nvme a try, hopefully it should work, thanks for the help

@brummyfan2 thanks a lot again for your help, i was successfully able to install nvme ssd on my a315-51. I got a budget ranged crucial p1.

No problem, yes Crucial P1 is better than newer P2, glad you got P1  :)
