Hello all,

This is my first Acer product and I've had a problem with it 3 hours after turning it on. Not the best introduction.
It's connected via HDMI to my computer's HDMI graphic card port. All was well for 3 hours, the screen is bright, crisp & infinitely better than the old VGA monitor it replaced!.
However, after about three hours the screen turned off. The game was still running as I could hear it in the external monitors connected to my sound card.
Turning the screen back on resulted in the monitor not finding the source. I swapped HDMI ports - nothing.
In the end I had to hard restart the computer and then the monitor picked up the source signal again.
I can only conclude this is a problem with the monitor, as it has not happened with any other monitors previously connected.

I'm new to Acer and also their support. I thought I'd do the decent thing and try the forum/community first but is there a support email address for Acer?

Cheers!

Try a full power reset, disconnect all cables, including power, press and hold the power button for 15-30 seconds then let it sit for 15-30 minutes to allow time for all power to bleed off. Reconnect the cables and power it back on normally. If you still experience the problem again it's likely time to contact support, though it's new enough it might be faster to just swap to a new one with your vendor.
