New Acer Aspire 5 A515-43-R19L laptop, the camera is missing the stream.sys driver.

Two weeks ago, I tried Zoom and Skype but the webcam camera is not working. Now I tried to take a photo and got the following error message. 0xA00F4292<PhotoCaptureStartTimeout>. Finally, I traced the error to be the missing stream.sys. Uninstalled the drivers, as instructed by Microsoft, then rebooted, the camera was reinstalled, but the file is still missing, although it exists in system32 and the DRIVERS folders. All apps are permitted access to the camera.How can I fix this?

Click on window icon Camera app and right click on the camera app result
Under right-click context menu select App settings
Under camera app settings, scroll and locate & hit the reset button
Confirm your action by selecting the reset button and again

After doing above steps make sure you give permission go to settings and click on the Privacy category. Select Camera under the App permissions section on the left. On the right panel, you have to turn on the setting “Allow apps to access your camera“. Scroll down to locate the Camera app and grant permission for it to access the webcam.

That’s it. Now check and see if Windows 10 Camera app is working.

@GAMING6698 Thanks so much, unfortunately it didn't help. Reset it several times and the app permissions were already granted. Is there anything else I can try?

The issue was resolved in two separate steps: The first was allowing camera access to all Microscope apps, even though never use them. This activated the camera, and Skype (both Microsoft products). Loaded Zoom and my image flashed by and then it went dead. Now I was sure it's not the hardware.

Visited The AMD Radeon site, and AMD offered another latest Radeon driver for the laptop, the 3rd version download in 10 days. Installed it, rebooted and all the cameras work. @GAMING6698 thanks again for starting me on the right path to the RESET.
