Hello, I have my Nitro 5 AN515-52 with 8 + 8(Additional) GB of ram and GTX 1050 ti + Intel I7.
When I set power settings to max performance, temperatures insanely fast rise to 95C even with fans set on max. But during balanced, FPS are optimal and temp doesn't go to 90 degrees.
So I would like to ask if it is normal. Because I think additional 15 FPS won't make PC insanely hot.
I also have an additional cooling pad and clean laptop every month.

@davidsebesta nope, this is not normal in high performance your temperature need ti be 70-85C.90c or more is not safe and in thus temperature CLOCK speed decreases and you may experience lag that time.
    What you can do is
    1)apply new good thermal paste
    2)clean fans
    3)clean air vent
Applying new thermal paste is permanent solution others clean fans and air vent is temporary solution and may not be work.
If you know how to apply thermal paste then do it yourself otherwise visit service centre.
    I recommend to use
    Cooler Master MasterGel Thermal paste
                                      OR
    Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut Thermal Paste

Computers can become warm to the touch when used for extended periods of time or when running processor intensive applications such as playing video games or watching streaming or local video.  This is normal and should not affect the computer’s operation.

To avoid excessive heat building up in the computer you should always use it on a hard, flat, non-cloth surface.  Using the computer on a blanket, pillow, or other cloth surface can block important heat vents.  It is advised to use the computer in an environment no hotter than 95°F.

If a computer becomes too warm, it can cause symptoms such as random reboots, system lock-ups, and random shutdowns.  Continued excessive heat can cause permanent damage to system components.

Over time dust can build up in the computer’s air vents causing air and heat to not pass through them effectively.  Using compressed air to clear the vents of dust can help resolve an overheating issue.  Be sure to use compressed air according to the instructions on the can.

If the computer is still overheating after the vents are cleaned, please contact Acer support.
