Hello,

While using this laptop, it suddenly turns off. After that even when I connect it to AC plug, still no sign of power.

Any thoughts what happened? Any troubleshooting suggestion. Already tried the battery reset button, already checked if the adapter is supplying right voltage and the continutity from the DC jack to the motherboard.

Thank you

Remove charger. Re-do battery reset except this time also press and hold the power button at the same time for about 30 seconds. Then plug the charger back in but don't try to turn the machine on till the battery charge LED goes from orange to blue. Only then press the power button to try to turn the machine on. Jack E/NJ

The led still doesn't turn on after performing those.

Try and wiggle the AC plug into the DC jack at laptop and see if the laptop turns on? It could be that you DC plug at laptop is faulty of there is something wrong with your charger. Get another charger (if you have one) and see if that works? Does the laptop work on battery only? Otherwise, disassemble the back cover and inspect the battery and its plug that connect to the motherboard and inspect the DC jack that the charger connects to and see if by wiggling the charger plug into the DC jack turns the laptop on, if not, then your DC jack is faulty. If these two steps don't work, remove battery and try to power on laptop with the charger only, as and if your battery is faulty, it should work off the charger only. Do a processes of elimination of these components and let us know.

If the battery charge light changed from orange to blue and if the power light still would not come on, then first try tightening all the screws on the bottom cover. If the bottom cover is not tight  enough or aligned properly with the mainboard, there is a safety interlock switch that cuts all power to the mainboard. If tightening the screws doesn't help, then the back cover must be removed and a spacer taped to the switch so it stays in the on position. Jack E/NJ

But the battery charge light doesn't light at all.

Then either the battery pack or the charger is bad. Measure charger voltage output at the plug with a multimeter. Should be  about 19volts DC between plug's outer ring and center hole. Jack E/NJ

The charger output is around 19V and the battery is new.

Then maybe a bad new battery. Measure battery output voltage between two ends of connector. Usually dark red & black wires. Jack E/NJ
