I don't know why it's happening but when I was randomly checking my bios setting, I found that it mentions my Acer Nitro AN515-31 as Acer Aspier XXXX in bios settings.
On checking the Serial Number Detection Utility mentioned on acer website, I found something strange. The S/N and SNID both are detected differently from what's written on the back of the laptop.
I'm literally confused with this thing! Please help me!

Thank you

Hey @batmalin. My motherboard was recently changed because my original one malfunctioned. I have a Predator PT315-51. And in my dxdiag it used to show my system model as 'Predator PT315-51'. But after my motherboard got changed, my system model is now showing 'Aspier XXXX'. I have attached a screenshot with it. Kindly tell me if the replaced part is legit or should I seek help from the company any furthur.

It is legit, they are using refurbished parts and most of the MB are the same across the models, so just take it to Acer and tell them to set your model, S/N and so on in the BIOS.

Hello, can someone please help me? I got a similar problem. FYI I don't really understand about computers.
My laptop is Acer Spin 3, it's pretty new, around 4-5 months old. The first problem is it couldn't charge.
Last month I updated it to Windows 11 by myself and the internet connection was bad, it got off a few minutes, I assume that is the cause of my charging problem (the charger is type C and could not charge on both ports after the update). I followed some steps I saw on YouTube, like checking everything and did press the pin hole at the back etc. But the charger still didn't work, so I bring it to the Acer service center, now it's 100% sure nothing is wrong with the charger, so I was sure the port driver or something didn't download properly while I updated to Windows 11.
I thought the solution was just resetting it back to Windows 10, but the staff insisted on totally checking my laptop and letting it stay overnight (they said around 5 days) but turned out it was more than 10 days. I got suspicious because this is in Indonesia (even at official places they cheat and steal, and I know it because I saw something similar happen at the place I did part-time).
When I picked it up, the staff told me the port on the motherboard was broken and they changed it. I don't really understand but I'm still suspicious because how can both ports be broken at the same time and I always handle it with care especially because it's a new laptop.
I got scared that they might change some other stuff on my motherboard and took mine to sell because they're new (this is actually common at unofficial service centers, but doesn't mean couldn't happen at official service centers, my friends were also suspicious).
But, because I don't understand how to check if something changed or not, I just let it be, until I saw it on Intel Driver & Support Assistant. There it is written "Acer Aspire XXXX". Serial number and SNID are also different than the one on the back. Then I found this post... I tried run dxdiag and also shows Acer Aspire XXXX... so I feel uneasy now, was I really cheated on? Is now my laptop not the original Acer Spin 3 anymore? What should I do?

Sorry if I sound stupid, because I really don't understand and I live in Indonesia where it is common to do illegal stuff and I'm scared they did something to my laptop...

Don`t worry, they did a half job, your MB is replaced but they didn`t change the model and ths S/N in BIOS. Bring it back and tell them to fix it, it is a 3 minutes of work.

Okay, thank you for the reply, I feel better now :)) I really don't understand about computers so I was kind of panicked.
Although it's 3 minutes' work, I'm sure I need to let the laptop stay overnight because the system here is complicated, but I still will do it.
    Thanks again!
