I have Acer Predator helios 300 i7 with 1660ti. My fan speed in ideal usage is too loud in acer predator application under fan control it shows cpu 2200 and gpu 2500+ and initially cpu and gpu temp is lying between 35-40 degree Celsius, but after an hour it increases slightly to about 45 degree Celsius and also fan speed increases. i am also unable to lower fan rpm under custom fan setting only i can increase fan speed. i am only do web surfing and facing this issue. kindly help me out as its to irritating noise.
P.S i have updated acer predator app,gpu driver and also re-installed latest acer predator sense application.

@NavneetBhargavaboot in bios then Press the "F9" key to load the default BIOS settings, which will reset all of the BIOS settings back to the original "factory" configuration. Press the "F10" key to save the BIOS then exit bios and check your issue solved or not
If issue still not solve then i need to model no. And bios version

    Click yes if problem solved

@GAMING6698 i have done what you have suggested. You need further details my model number is acer predator helios 300 PH315-52 and BIOS VERSION 1.10 which is latest (as per available on acer site)
Still cpu and gpu temp is showing in between 35-40 degree Celsius (preciously cpu temp is 37 degree Celsius, gpu is ideal [showing --] and system temp is 37 degree Celsius) and fan rpm of cpu is 2200 and gpu fan rpm is 2560. I am hoping in this temp rage fan rpm is under 2000 that will  be great.

Is the fan noise an increase on what you heard when new? If so you might be just starting to build up dust on the blades, or you might be seeing some bearing wear. Try cleaning them as much as possible and recheck. At 40-50°C it shouldn't have to run them too hard.

It's completely normal the h300 2019 have a more aggressive fan curve not like the 2017/2018 or the t500 that they completely stop under 40 and the aeroblade fans 4th gen owl wing tip are more noisy at lower rpm unfortunately there's no way to make them less noisy it's the design itself for a better cooling someone here replaced them by plastic delta because of the noise I strongly don't recommend it you'll void your warranty if u do so

lol,to all moderators and senior member ( I DOESN'T MEAN ANY HEART FELLING). I have seen lots of time all moderator and other senior member is doing is safe guard the company fame or just cover company through positive feedback blanket. I know that's your job and your are doing good no wrong thing, but this isn't fair that  you always cover companies fame all time. Just one thing i want to tell i have facing this problem from march before that its work well, before that fan speed at this temp is always below 2000 rpm, i am not using this laptop only i have also MSI and Lenovo laptop and at this temp there is no fan noise and also having same specs even through MSI laptop is having RTX 2060. I have lost all hopes, I have came here with positive thought that community member will help or at least share there experience . Community is created for sharing there thought and helping not only for safeguarding companies fame. Thanks for giving time on thread and expecting this thing never happen in future.

For those who are also facing this issue and seeking for answers i have search a lot on internet and found this
in lenovo community most of saying that this problem is happen because of buggy latest NVIDIA graphics driver update, i have also found one case of march 2019 when NVIDIA release there software update, customer faces problem of fan noise or havoc problem you can also gather more information through internet or specially from YouTube. I am also thinking this time maybe NVIDIA have released buggy software. Hopefully in next update it will resolve this issue.

Hi @NavneetBhargava I am having the same issue with the fans, it is so weird because the temperatures are lower than yours around 1500 CPU and 2100 GPU but the fans are louder now and also because of that I can feel a little vibration on my notebook. Could you solve the issue? Thanks in advance!

@Luchodefi sorry bud, i didn't find any solution nor any nvidia driver update (latest patch is April 2020) , if i find any solution will update here.
I think most of users face issue from feb 2020, and acer have to do something for his customers, at least give us fan control through predator application. Just regretting why i purchase this laptop, if i have i chance to change my decision i will change my decision by not purchasing this laptop.

I had to turn off the cool boost, it's not as bad as it used to be, but could be better. G3-571.
Even when I don't have a lot running, its still usually loud when I get on the internet.
Always makes me feel like there's an update or download going on that I don't know about.

If you think the Nvidia driver is the culprit then you can try to rollback it to an older version and see if the problem persists. I agree with @xapim that the 2019 version has louder fan characteristics - you should have checked this on online reviews before buying. 2017 versions are pleasantly silent under light use.

Srijansm its not a problem at all its the new 4th gen aeroblade owl wing tip fans as i said the fan curve its much more aggressive on the 2019 models and the new aeroblades are louder on lower rpms its the design itself to provide a much better cooling as in everything in life we cannot have everything in order to perfect the cooling something has to get taken off or added on its just the way it works everywhere sacrifices have to be made in order to improve some features

NavneetBhargava im not safeguarding anyone its just the way it works/was designed to work period also does msi/lenovo or whatever have aeroblade 3d fans ?? well no and you know why because they were invented by acer engineers and are proprietary all other manufacturers are still using the old plastic delta fans which u can also void your warranty if you want and replace them for the plastic more quiet less efficient cooling (you wouldnt be the first one to do it either at your own risk of course ) but yeah you think whatever u want from it im not here to judge anyone im just here to do my best the best way i know/can but seems some ppl are :)
