AMD released their new chipset driver 4/7/2020.

For mobile users, do we need it if we already have the most current APU/GPU driver installed?

I have an AN515-42 w/ raven ridge APU and RX-560x discreet GPU.

Thanks

@Red_Sun This chipset driver fixes many bugs and add some features →

    NEW

    • Removed deprecated device IDs from the IOV driver
    • Removed deprecated device IDs from the USB 3.0 driver
    • General system stability improvements

    Fixed Issues

    • Installer may hang during installation progress
    • Installer may abort with “Error 1720” code
    • Installation will not install on a non C:\ location
    • Resolved screen rotation bug with select AMD mobile processors
    • Rare system halt on 7th Gen AMD A-Series APUs
    So i recommend to update.
(Note- after installing chipset if amd software not working correctly then you need to reinstall software)

Chipset drivers are deployed thru windows update anyway, so what is the justification to install the drivers above?
