So i got the laptop second hand it was used for office work but the second Nvidia 940mx graphics card was not being detected tried updating the drivers but I've got the "nvidia installer cannot find compatible graphics hardware"!
Also tried manually updating it but cannot add the windows basic display adapter!
Now the laptop is working just with the intel 520 card!
Tried many other solutions and tips but nothing helped and im guessing the card may be dead somehow!
I would love if someone could help me!!

Open DeviceManager. Are there any red or yellow warnings? If none, click on the DisplayAdapters folder. What drivers do you see? Jack E/NJ.

No red or yellow warnings and in the display adapters section its just the intel one.
Tried adding the basic display adapter but it says A Service Installation Section in this INF is Invalid to complete the API

Not good. A missing entry in DeviceManager usually means the nvidia chip is turned off, disconnected or failed. Search 'graphics' in the Windows start menu to see if anything other than the Intel control panel and intel settings shows up. The nvidia chip might simply be turned off to save power. Jack E/NJ

We've already looked at DeviceManager. Only the Intel display adapter shows.  Download and try this ACER nvidia driver again.

If that doesn't work, then download and install iobit's DriverBooster freeware to see if it'll pick up anything.

This suggests either the nvidia chip itself has failed or its mainboard solder connections have cracked. The latter being more likely. If it was mine, I'd leave well enough alone since its functional with the integrated adapter.  If however you're more adventuresome and want to risk it, you could  try to reflow the chip with a heat gun as a last resort. New mainboards range for about $150 for i3s to about $300 for the i7s. Used about half those prices. Jack E/NJ

I saw other display adapter from add lefacy hardware but its not the basic adapter it is remote display adapter installed the graphics card manually and when i get home from work i will see if it has some errors and reply back! And i guess if its dead or soldering problem i will go to an service to see it!

I'm not clear on what you mean by a "remote display adapter installed the graphics card manually"? Jack E/NJ
