performance decreased after bios update

only v1.27 is enough? i cant see v1.28 in acer website and after bios update fans are rotating 4500 rpm in automatically setting and after bios update i feel the performance is decreased any help? and i want to install linux in dual boot with windows i want to change sata mode to ahci but that option grayout in first tab in bios

    @ashwin26 FOR FAN SPEED
     try to reset bios settings go to bios then Press the "F9" key to load the default BIOS settings, which will reset all of the BIOS settings back to the original "factory" configuration. Press the "F10" key to save the BIOS settings and exit the BIOS interface.

    After this check your fans getting to normal speed or not

    After completing above step again go to bios then 
    Try to adding a password for the BIOS, make it something easy like 1234 save your BIOS and restart. Now open your BIOS again and see if you can change it.
