Hey everyone! I've got a Predator PH315-52 and my microphone levels went really low out of the blue.

Both the laptop built-in microphone and my headset microphone levels are low.

I have boosted them and people cant still barely hear me. I have no idea what happened.

I've emailed Acer but nobody has got back to me yet. Does anyone have any ideas?

Any help would really be appreciated.

Hope everyone is safe and well.

Try to reset the audio chipset by changing all the preset values, press apply. Restart (not shutdown) your computer, then changing all the values back.

Everything --- bitrate, sample rate, sound enhancements, exclusive mode --- basically on every tab you should be changing the default value, and then changing them back.

Microphone boost is the microphone pre-amplifier, you have to use that first. The top one is the amplifier in the ADC, use that option last.

Do a sound check while you are making adjustments --- and watch the signal meter on the picture posted by egydiocoelho. Leave at least 3-4 bars empty AT ALL TIMES. You may do +10 db and 65. Or you may do +20 db and 25. Both settings may have the same overall loudness, you then decide which one has the least amount of background noise.
