Unless your laptop is old enough to have come with Windows 7 you don't want to select Legacy mode. Windows 8 and later all use UEFI for booting. When you go into the BIOS does the disk show up?

That's normal on the latest machines, no need for legacy mode with modern OSes. When you attempt to boot you are getting the error message about no bootable device? Does the drive show up in the BIOS at all?

@Azzz we need to determine if the problem is a failing disk drive or something not correct in the UEFI. Since it doesn't happen all the time I lean toward it being a drive that is failing. If you can get it to come up again back up your files first thing. Contact Acer support to get the repair completed under warranty, but likely they will replace the drive so anything you haven't backed up will be lost.
