I just bought an x34p to use for home and work (because of this whole work from home fun) I have had it for a couple weeks now and it has started flickering. Seems to do it regardless of which computer i have connected, and regardless of the port I am connected to.  I did some research and other have had to send them in to get a firmware update.  I would rather not do that and be out a monitor for a couple weeks.  Is it possible to flash the firmware myself to see if that fixes the issue?

another post recommends replacing the monitor with this Alienware  AW3418DW I would hate to have to do that but replacing it may be the only option if I cannot get it working the way it is supposed to.

I have noticed that if I turn down the overclock refresh rate of the monitor this issue goes away.  While this is a temporary solution, it does not solve the issue and I am not getting the advertised refresh rate.
