SF713-51-M51W Typing Vowels With Accents

I have an Acer Swift 7.

I found the codes in Microsoft Word and was able to do it there, but now I'm wondering if you are able to do this outside of Word, like in web browsers, search bars, a text box like this very one that I'm typing in, etc. I tried the same codes from Word, and as expected, they didn't work in areas outside of Word. Now I'm stumped...is this possible? If so, how?

(I have a Spanish exam coming up on the Desire To Learn (D2L) website our school uses, and I will have to type in answers, so I'll need accents, or the whole meaning of the word will be wrong!)

-I went to my order description and this is what it said: Acer Swift 7, 13.3" Full HD, 7th Gen Intel Core i7-7Y75, 8GB LPDDR3, 512GB SSD, Windows 10, Luxury Gold SF713-51-M51W (Is that what you were looking for?)

-As for the language, when I first turned it on and set it up, I put English to my primary, and I bought this in the U.S., so I'm assuming it's English. If that's what you meant?

-And I'm not sure what you mean by the key it refers to...?

It's awkward, but you can use Character Map to select the character, copy it and put it into your text. You can also take the several that are used often and put them into a Notepad document and copy'n'paste as needed. If you had a numeric keypad you could hold the alt key and press the four digit code on the keypad to enter them as well. Unfortunately the alt key thing doesn't work with the number at top.

No worries! I was able to get it to work!

If you hit the number lock on the F12 button, then you can use the alternate numbers on the letters on your keyboard (letters U, I, O, J, K, L, and M) and then typing in the codes with the ALT key + those numerical codes, works and enters those accented vowels I was looking for!
