Try this-new laptop dedicated is too strong and because of unknown reason it show black.OBS IS RUNNING IN DEDICATED GPU

go the desktop shortcut for OBS ( create shortcut of obs if don't have )and right click on it. Now go to the second option down "run with graphics processor". Now select the right arrow over and select your integrated graphics processor. And when you launch streamlabs obs now, your display capture will display

Click on yes if your issue is solved

Sorry, my friend. I followed your steps verbatim and they didn't resolve the issue.
Perhaps a little more information will help you troubleshoot.

Device Drivers Update: When I bought this yesterday I was loading software on it. I put  Movavi Video Editor, which had worked on another laptop. It  wouldn't open because it said I had a critical error and to contact tech support. They told me to make sure the video drivers were updated, which I did and it works now. Not sure if that's relevant.

How to Trick It: If I open Device Manager and disable the NVIDIA Geoforce GTX 1660 Ti, it will boot SL-OBS with a display. And Dual Cameras. I can then re-enable  the 1660 Ti with no ill effect on the program, however I don't know if it's really enabled or not, or if it requires a reboot to actually  enable.

So there is a work-around of sorts.

1)Open nvidia software and add StreamlabsOBS.exe in Switchable integrated graphic.
2)click on window icon or press window key and search graphics settings
Then click on graphics settings in new window browse your
StreamlabsOBS.exe add it and set power saving (integrated graphic)

Click yes if your problem solved

I appreciate you coming back with another suggestion. I'm afraid I"m stuck at the first step. I opened the software, but wasn't sure where you find Switchblade. Do you have the patience to help me with that? Thanks again.

I have updated  the global settings to reflect integrated graphics (see screenshot). I then restarted the laptop  and opened SL-OBS. I still do not have a display capture available.

Do you have any other solutions I should try?

click on window icon or press window key and search graphics settings
Then click on graphics settings in new window browse your StreamlabsOBS.exe add it and set power saving (integrated graphic)

If above step not work then try do same thing but now set it to high performance or dedicated graphic

I tried  both Power  Saving and High  Performance, then restarted  the laptop. It  did  not  solve my issue. After that I opened a chat  session with Acer customer  support  who  suggested I download the  most  updated bios, which I did. Following  a reboot, I confirmed all the settings were still in place  and opened SL-OBS, but it  did  not  resolve my problem.

I forgot  to mention that earlier in the troubleshooting I used Advanced Uninstaller Pro to remove SL-OBS, and then I reinstalled it.

@GhosstRacing after doing above steps your problem need to solve but its not working you missing these software.
(Game Mode may also be the reason for the OBS capture window black issue. To disable Game Mode in Windows 10, you can go into the Settings menu, type “Game Mode” in the search bar, and toggle the feature off)
    1)install DirectX from Microsoft site
2)install Microsoft visual c++ 2015-2019 (you need to install both 32 and 64bit)

After installing both software restart you system and check

before installing anything, I confirmed that I have  DirectX  version 12. See attached. Is  it safe to say I can skip that step?

@GhosstRacing install DirectX will update your DirectX 12 version only and add some .dll files if missing. It is safe to install. Some games launcher automatically install DirectX like epic game launcher
