Why does my laptop lag when it is plugged in?

I own an Acer Aspire E5-576G laptop, and when I run games without it charging, it runs very fast. However, whenever i plug it in, it suddenly becomes a lot slower and loses frame rates. If I plug it back in, fps suddenly shoots back up and it runs a lot smoother. I have set the maximum proccesing to 99 percent in the battery settings to stop turbo boost as well as turning the "when playing video" in the multimedia settings category to balanced. I have also done a hard reset through the pinhole on the back. I recently upgraded the ram on this laptop so now it has 16gb, but I don't think that is the problem because it runs fast while unplugged. If anyone has any answers to this, please let me know!

While charging laptop give high performance more then battery you follow these steps-

Right click on battery icon go to power options set your powerplan to high performance then go to change plan setting right side on then high performance plan then go to change advanced power settings then in advanced settings.
Find some options related to performance and graphic then set that option in maximum performance or maximize performance in both battery and plugged in.if you not able to find then send image .

Click yes if you problem solved
