Spin 11 volume keys not working

EDIT: sorry, I figured out how to fix my issue but I don't see an option to delete the post.

    Better than deleting it would be to say what you found. There is bound to be someone else who runs into the same thing for the same reason. :)

    Thank you, great point! So the brightness and volume/mute keys on the top row of my Acer Chromebook Spin 11 were not working. I solved it by going to the Settings > Device Settings (on the menu on the left) > Keyboard > "Treat top-row keys as function keys" = off. You can also hold the Search key to accomplish the same objective. Now my volume and brightness keys on the top row of the keyboard work as I want them to.

    You can also use those keys by pressing and holding the Fn key at bottom left of the keyboard while you click the key on the top row. Since you've changed the default you now use the Fn key to access F1-F12.
