I'm looking to upgrade the GPU of my Acer Nitro 50

I have the N50-600-EB16, the current card is a GTX 1050. I'm interested in replacing it with a RTX 2060 super. I read a thread already posted here, but it was never resolved.
If the RTX 2060 super isn't compatible, what are some good alternatives?

The RTX 2060 super is compatible with your N50-600.  But....on some N50-600 there is a 300 watt power supply instead of 500 watt power supply.  If you have a 300 watt power supply, you need to upgrade to at least a 500 watt power supply for the RTX2060 super.   Open your case and take a look and see if you have 300 watt or 500 watt power supply.

If you determine that you have a 300 watt power supply, then you can buy a 500 watt standard ATX Power Supply.  Dimensions of an ATX power supply are 150 mm width, 86 mm height, and 140 mm depth. A 500 watt power supply will have an 8 pin PCIe power dongle that you connect to RTX2060 super.  (Most RTX2060super require 8pin).

I do have a 500 watt power supply.

Ok, you should be good to go.  There should be an unused power cable from your power supply that is 8 pin.  Or it could be 6+2 pin.  Anyway, you just remove your existing graphics card and then install the new RTX2060super and connect that 8 pin (it's probably a 6+2 pin) to graphics card.  The 8 pin (6+2 pin) cable could be bundled up with a cable tie with your power supply cables or it could be attached to your existing graphics card...not sure.

Here's the existing graphics card removal instructions from SG.

I forgot to mention.  Some RTX2060Super are wider than others.  Don’t go for a wide 3 slot width card.  Buy a 2 slot width card.  And it probably needs to be 10.5 inches or less in length......you’ll have to measure and make sure it fits.
