Hi I have had the Acer Switch 10 2 In one windows notebook for a few years now and it now won’t turn on! I have tried holding the power and volume buttons for 30-60 seconds and it doesn’t work. I even left the laptop sit charging for a few hours but still nothing. I don’t see an LED on the power button when it charges. I have very important documents and photos for school and work as well as personal use that are on this computer and now I am really hoping this computer isn’t a goner. Does anyone have the same laptop that have this issue too? Please help!

The two most likely scenarios are a bad charger, causing a dead battery or a bad battery. Which Switch 10 model do you have? Do you have another charger you could try?

Hi good evening I tried both the charger that it came with as well as a Micro USB charger since it has two charging ports and the laptop still doesn’t power on or no LED indication at all. I have the Acer Aspire Switch 10 Model NT.L6HEH.010

OK, it looks like that part number is a SW5-012-12NG model. That doesn't support charging through the USB port, so that adapter wouldn't work. Do you have a VOM you could use to verify the voltage output on the charger? I'm thinking the charger is bad, but I'd hate to have you buy a replacement just to find the battery itself is the real problem.

No I don’t have one of those testers. I have the regular DC charger that came with it but it works fine because it always charges my laptop fine and the charger is in perfect condition with no bends or splitting cables. I mean I can try buying a new charger for it to see if it helps. But could it be the battery that is the issue?

It could be the battery, I just hate to start throwing new parts at it in the hopes that one will work. :) It looks like a battery, even a used one, is much more than the price of a charger, so you could start with a charger, or a VOM. :)
