GPU usage is not much

While playing Minecraft on my Helios 300, the CPU usage is at an average of about 75%. The GPU though doesn't seem to get used more than 30%.  My CPU is an i5 8th gen and GPU is Nvidia 1050 ti. Is this normal? Is there a way to increase that usage?

@busu3  Some games are more cpu demanding some are gpu it's completely normal make sure you're running it on the dgpu set it up manually on nvcp

Dedicated gpu nvidia control panel technically u should know after all u have a gaming laptop with a igpu and a dgpu 😉

Oh ok I have set up all that. But though the gpu is not used, the temperature is about 80 celsius.

80 on the gtx?? If so that's bad it's most probably thermal throttling you need to either repaste it with kryonaut or similar yourself if you can without voiding your warranty or send it back to get it repasted of its on the cpu thats fine

And as I said make sure the game its running on the dgpu an not the igpu 😉

The CPU hits 95 degrees and there is thermal throttling. Yes the game is on the dgpu.

If I undervolt my cpu wont perform well right?

busu3 yes youre definitely thermal throttling and undervolting makes the cpu not throttling so it will perform better but most times repasting its the only solution

Ok what temperature should it be while gaming?

busu3 its ok to have just spikes on 90's but the normal temps should be cpu 85'ish max and gpu 70/75

Step 4. Click "OK" to set the core affinity. You must do this each time you close and reopen the program.

busu3 (replying to your pm) You will definitely need to repaste it either yourself with kryonaut or similar if you can without voiding your warranty or if you have seals/stickers contact acer support to get it cleaned/repasted you temps are way to high you will end up by burning something (i hope not) you cpu shouldnt go above 85'ish and the gpu 70/75 max also optimize your windows and undervolt  if you dont have your windows properly optimized  neither undervolting or repasting will do much and keep the back always lifted 1/2" for a proper airflow
