120hz+ Screen Upgrade - Nitro 5 17.3" - AN517-51-56YW

Can anyone recommend a replacement screen model for my AN517-51-56YW that is 120hz or above? I have found numerous 15.6" displays which are 120hz+ and 30-pin, but from what I understand the 17.3" model which I own is also 30-pin, and I can only find 17.3" screens that are either 60hz 30-pin, or 120hz+ 40-pin. I will keep looking but if anyone has any recommendations it would save me a lot of headache! I don't care whether its LCD or IPS, my Nitro 5 is my secondary gaming machine so screen quality isn't nearly as important as refresh rate.

Edit: and forgive my ignorance but I am primarily experienced with working on desktop machines - is there any way to reconfigure (swap out ribbon cable, etc.) to use a 40-pin screen, or better yet a G-Sync screen? I would assume the answer is no, because the motherboard probably lacks the appropriate connector, but I figured I would ask!

I could find only 144Hz compatible panels and couldn't find any 120Hz panels, you have to buy a new eDP cable for the 40 pin panel, I think you are aware that the panels are secured by double sided tapes and not with screws, in any case, I have attached a video showing the removal procedure on a 15.6" model.

So to make sure I am understanding you correctly, the connector on the motherboard of my laptop that current has a 30-pin eDP cable connected will indeed be able to accept a 40-pin eDP cable? I started to wonder if the reason that 17" displays with these specs don't seem to exist in 30-pin is related to maximum throughput of 30-pin cables not being sufficient.

With regard to G-Sync, on a desktop PC, the G-Sync module is build into the monitor, so the only hardware requirement is a GPU which is G-Sync compatible - does it work the same way on a laptop? Or is the G-Sync module something that would be part of the motherboard. I just don't want to buy a G-Sync panel only to determine that my laptop is not capable of utilizing it.

No problem, yes the connector on the motherboard is compatible with 30pin and 40 pin panels, as for the G-sync query, I couldn't find any information about G-sync in the manual, N173HCE-G33 has mentioned that G-sync as a feature and being one of the original part installed by Acer I think the model is capable of G-sync, I would suggest you to wait for someone else who is more familiar with it to shed some light on this matter.
