I have a AXC-603G-UW13 (Walmart special) all programs report it has two expansion slots and there is two openings on case for cards to be added. However the motherboard has none. There is a connector labeled MINI1 right next to a soldiered in PCIES1 outline. Any idea what this for?

Yeah, no PCI expansion options on that MB. The slot you are looking is dedicated to a WiFi module. I think the two card slot openings in the case is from using that case design with multiple MBs.

Here's some info that I have from a program called HardwareInfo . These are the two connections in the photo I posted. I'm trying to figure out what connects i.e. Ribbon cable or sata edge connector ?
    MINI1 ---------------------------------------------------------------------
      Slot Designation:                       MINI1
Slot Type:                              PCI Express Gen2 x1
      Slot Usage:                             Empty
      Slot Data Bus Width:                    1x / x1
      Slot Length:                            Short
    PCIES1 --------------------------------------------------------------------
      Slot Designation:                       PCIES1
Slot Type:                              PCI Express Gen2 x1
      Slot Usage:                             Empty
      Slot Data Bus Width:                    1x / x1
      Slot Length:                            Short

New photo show complete system. This connector is on right side where pci connectors would be if they were there.

Based on your input. I hit ebay and found this and also took another photo

So now maybe what I want to try will work.

    more input from HardwareInfo program
      Boot from CD:                           Present
      Selectable Boot:                        Present
      BIOS ROM Socketed:                      Present
Boot from PC Card:                      Not Present    <----  want to put a NVME m2 card in it

Do you think it will work?   That case would make a great heat sink  lol

ok found it hard to believe but after a lot of searching an reading. I know believe that it could be possible to have a pci connector for a specific purpose.  Thanks for your prompt answer even if it wasn't what I was wanting to hear.    So now see if I can find a new board to fit this case.
