Acer Nitro 5 AN515-42 (Model Number)
My Specs:-
Rx560x 4 Gb
AMD ryzen 2500u with vega 8
8gb ram

So I have updated my AMD drivers for my rx560x till the latest version i.e 20.2.2. After updating the drivers my battle.net started crashing it gave no error codes simply said battle.net error and application needs to be closed. I tried to install Origin, I opened the installer it opened and immediately closed I thought it was windows error did everything to fix it. I did some research and looked into the windows event viewer and found the error for blizzard. There was a faulty module which was the cause for it and it was atidxx32.dll and conveniently this .dll was associated with AMD.
This is the log entry from event viewer:-

Faulting application name: Battle.net.exe, version: 1.20.3.11914, time stamp: 0x5e692548
Faulting module name: atidxx32.dll, version: 26.20.15019.19000, time stamp: 0x5e59a386
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x000128d2
Faulting process id: 0x20ec
Faulting application start time: 0x01d5f92f9a9a69bd
Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Battle.net\Battle.net.exe
Faulting module path: C:\WINDOWS\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\u0352369.inf_amd64_275818c45a90b362\B352355\atidxx32.dll
Report Id: cfbfe08e-6a20-4862-8295-32007e62c4eb
Faulting package full name:
Faulting package-relative application ID:

(I am not expert on these things these errors and rectification)

Then somewhere I read I should roll back my drivers to 19.12.1 I did it and voila things worked! blizzard opened, origin installed. I want to know why the hell did that happened with the latest drivers and now do I have to keep this version of driver 19.12.1 until they fix it or something else? Help and explanation would be appreciated
and one more thing should I go even more back to the OEM drivers provided by Acer at their website but they are kinda very old like here is a SS:-

why don't they update their OEM drivers?

AMD will usually correct driver errors overtime that is why they have driver updates almost every week. The 2020 Control Center is vastly superior to the Acer drivers. You may have had a corrupt 2020 installation, try uninstalling everything AMD with DDU then reinstalling the 2020 control Center

Yes I have the latest version and I have your model and everything works fin, sometimes it is the games settings and you need to go to your games support page

Follow my walkthrough below and pay attention to detail, don't miss a step

The new AMD Adrenalin 2020 Control Center is designed to give support for your hardware and contains Mobile Driver support for this exact model, the Graphics Drivers on the Acer site are only base drivers. Click the link below to download the 2020 Control Center and the latest drivers for the RX560x will be automatically installed
    https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/release-notes/rn-rad-win-20-2-2

Most of the problems I have encountered answering questions similar to yours are that users do not have the GPU set up correctly in the Control Center and are gaming on their Dedicated Vega 8 GPU which gives poor performance and is not designed for gaming. I have your exact model and my gaming experience using the AMD 2020 Control Center is good, Follow these instructions

First make sure you game with your battery charged to 100% BEFORE gaming and KEEP plugged into the main AC power while gaming. Make sure "High Performance when on AC", is selected in your Windows Power Plan and in Nitrosense. If you fail to do this your CPU will run at around 50% of capacity and you will experience poor game performance

Open the New AMD 2020 Control Center and click the GAMING tab then click the 3 dots in the upper right hand corner and select ADD A GAME, navigate to your games .exe file and double click it to add it, or you can select SCAN FOR GAMES and let the Control Center search your harddrive for games to add. After successfully adding the game click on the game and you will be taken to another window and click the LAUNCH GAME tab.
Only in this way will your games use the Discrete Rx560x GPU, NEVER launch your game through a desktop shortcut or any other way, do it in the manner I have described.

Please remember that online gaming may experience low fps and stutter due to the games servers and bottlenecking and that has nothing to do with your GPU.

The safest way to repair missing or corrupted atidxx32.dll file caused by your Windows operating system, is to run the built-in System File Checker, which replaces missing or corrupted system files.

To do this, right-click the Start button on your Windows 10 computer to open the WinX menu and click the Command Prompt (Admin) link.In the CMD window, copy the following command and press Enter :

    sfc /scannow

The scan may take 10 minutes, and if it is successfully completed, you must restart your PC. Running sfc /scannow in safe mode or at startup can give better results.

@andylb @GAMING6698 after a clean install of driver it seems both battle.net and origin works fine. @GAMING6698 i know about origin and i got it to play 'a way out'  not apex legends and second its fixed third i agree with @andylb try untill you ran out of options i did same. Everything worked fine when i rolled back my drivers to 19.12.1 after having a clean install of latest version 20.2.2 things worked fine fourth all my time on fixing this issue i found from windows event viewer that it was due to broken dll's and corrupted installation of amd drivers and some broken registry keys in particular i would like to point that the corrupted installation made one of the most important dll of amd the atidxx32.dll which both blizzard and origin used i dont know why maybe because of their gpu needs. Would like to thank @andylb for suggesting the clean install of drivers.
And at last the dll is not missing or anything its just corrupted and has become a faulty module as event viewer describes it and this causes issues installing it from other website as you have given links might not fix it as dll's sometime need additional things which they get from original installation.
    So

I want to tell you both don't waste your time to solve this issue.
1st I can tell you because have played apex legend in origin and don't know about battle.net what is it so I going to talk your origin.

No benefit of reinstalling because this problem happens with me also and I was failed to solve. There is something in origin installer when we open, then for 2-3sec it will be shown on the taskbar then disappear. when I contact to EA then I provide them with every detail what happening, they tried to solve my issue but nothing work finally after some research they find something stopping origin to launch I know this because when I go to safe mode origin installer launch there, after installing from safe mode again application not launch in normal mode .the team is working, in this case, they said that team will email you later. but the email never comes and then I need contact EA again because I like to play Fortnite more than origin games

This issue may be solve one day

     Two possibilities -

    1) origins works, 😮😲😱this is miracle
2)EA fix this in new update

But i think 1st possibility is correct

Amen brother, I suspect the Windows reset fixed the corrupt .dll file which we suspected was the real culprit, good teamwork

@TanmayGangwar said Okay found my answer  a simple reset of windows fixed it. it was not a GPU problem. The windows was guilty

@andylb i think you're mixing my two different posts the windows reset fixed my other problem (the lag one) it has nothing to do with that.dll file which we are facing now we have more work to brother the suspect here .dll file ain't free yet. we need to find more. Don't get confused.AMEN
