Acer Swift 3 SF315 - 41 Keyboard misspelling or not working at all

Hello friends,
trying to fix somebody's laptop and run out of ideas. Keyboard is the problem. It works after start up of windows but after pressing some keys on right side of the keyboard, it starts misspelling or not working at all. Anything on left side of keyboard is ok but after pressing U, O or P etc, the letters go bananas, OSK takes up 30% of CPU and only solution is to press space bar to wake up the whole keyboard [the backlight as well] but with key not working anymore. On screen keyboard works until the physical keyboard is used. Couple of weeks ago I managed to fix it through 'fn + num lock' and later in reg edit InitialKeyboardIndicators setting to '0' but the problem came back and this trick wont work anymore.

Anyway, I tried to reinstall keyboard drivers through device manager, did recovery, system repair, clean install of windows, battery reset, every possible latest update except BIOS [bit affraid to mess with it]. Took apart the laptop to check if all the cables are correctly inserted. Even turned off fast start-up. All these were various forum suggestions.

Same issues appear in safe mode or bios. Any more ideas welcomed as the device is not under warranty anymore. Im happy ordering a new keyboard replacement if the issue is hardware but would like  informed opinion. Thank you guys, T.

    Is there a function called function key behavior in the bios? Have you tried to reset the battery?

    Yes, I did the battery reset, didnt help at all. Going to check the BIOS but last time I went there to change boot load order, it took me 10 minutes to actually save and exit with the arrows not working.

    Have you tried to disconnect and reconnect the keyboard a few times?

    Do any keys act up other than the ones that match with the numeric keyboard? For instance when in failure mode, do the 6, y, h, n, -, [, ], \, ' keys work fine?

    Ok, so I cant find anything in BIOS about function key. Bought external keyboard today, which at least worked in bios after turning off num lock but in windows its behaving the same way as laptop or virtual keyboard. In addition the laptop now thinks some keys are pressed even when I undo them, especially CTRL so I cant even open documents. The last time I was trying to do recovery and repair, windows would behave like its impossible task to do so I decided to do Fresh start but it wouldnt even let me into Windows security anymore. I created installation USB with Windows creation tool on my personal Acer laptop and installed new win on the broken one..and this 'new' Windows is causing current problems.
    edit: when I took apart the laptop I pulled keyboard cable out and back in the slot, if thats what you mean

    No, it seems like the keys are remapping themselves. Two days ago it was behaving like some of the num pad keys moved on the right side of letter keyboard, yesterday G, U, I, O and A were typing í é á, now space bar types 6 and 'b' and 'v' but nothing else is working.

    The same problem occurs, when you reinstall windows, pressing alt + f10 before the Acer logo?

    I just formatted SSD and installed new windows. Nothing changed. Windows seems slower than before and acer care center wont even open. Alt + F10 does nothing during restart. But external keyboard works fine

    Yes, the problem is still there, laptop and virtual keyboards having the same issue, external works fine. I suppose I should try to order a replacement keyboard

    Have you tried to disconnect the keyboard and the backlit keyboard connector? It may just be a bad connection.

    Hey, 
    Have the exact same issue. Numlock and 6 goes crazy, remaps the keys and does a bunch of other things.
    Tried to disable the keys with a software , but  it remaps itself into some key that the software cannot block.
    For a while I placed weights in those keys ,but now it has effected a whole lot of other keys. I think that it is a hardware issue, will try to get it replaced soon.

    The short term solution for me was to place weights on num-lock, maybe it'll help, but long term definitely needs a replacement.
