I have a Acer Nitro 5 gaming laptop
Model: AN515-53
I needed to clear up space and decided to reset my laptop, after it "restarted" to start the process I noticed after 30 minutes my laptop never turned back on to even start resetting, I was just staring at a black screen. I should mention that the monitor on my laptop has been broken for about 5 months and I have 2 monitors hooked up to it so it's never been an issue that the monitor is broken. After waiting 3 hours I got impatient and turned it off and turned it back on, the Acer loading screen upon powering on isnt showing up it's just black but the keyboard backlights and my mouse are on.

I've searched many forums and havent seen anyone else with this problem so I decided to ask

Hi, Sorry to hear about your issue. Try to do Power Drain and BIOS reset by the following steps.

Power Drain and BIOS RESET :
    1) Unplug the AC power adapter.
    2) Press and hold the Power button down until the unit goes off.
    3) Search for a pinhole that has a battery symbol next to it on the backside of your laptop, insert a small paperclip in the battery reset pinhole, press and  hold it down for 25 seconds. Then release the paperclip and turn the unit back to normal position.
    4) When the unit is off completely, press the power to turn on the unit.
    5) Immediately keep on tapping the F2 to enter the BIOS.
    6) In the BIOS, press F9 to reset the BIOS to setup defaults.
    7) At the confirmation screen, press Enter for Yes to load the default configuration.
    8) Press F10 to save your changes, and restart the system. Select Yes and press ENTER to confirm.
Try this and post your results.

Power your laptop on and when the black screen appears power of using the power button, repeat and on the 3rd time hopefully it will boot into the Blue repair screen, select Troubleshoot and then return my computer to a previous date, select a date before you attempted the reset

Please click YES if I answered your question

I am not an ACER employee
Thank you and have a blessed day  B)
