I have an Acer Aspire 6930 running Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit. I wanted to install a 32 bit application for my girlfriend's old Singer embroidery machine but it keeps running into a compatibility issue. I decided to install XP on it to see if compatibility issue goes away but everytime I run the XP installation disk, I get BSOD. Is it just not possible to revert this machine back to XP? Are there steps that I'm missing before I run the XP installation? Thanks so much for any advice provided.

If you still have Vista running, right click on the Singer installation app. Click properties. In the box that pops up, click the compatibility tab. Then check the box to run the Singer installation app in WinXP compatibility mode. Jack E/NJ
