Hello friends.
I have old bios in my laptop (Triton 500 PT515-51 ) and i want to update it. But i don't exactly know how to do it.
So i need just download file (v1.12) and run it from Windows? Or I need firstable download/install 1.08->1.10->1.11->1.12? I mean updating availble versions step by step.

    Hi,
If you don't have any problems at the moment, I would suggest you to leave the old BIOS alone unless you are convinced that the new BIOS will be beneficial to you, if you insist on updating, you can go straight to version 1.12 and follow the precautions below.
1.Make sure that the battery is fully charged(100%) and keep the AC adapter connected throughout the update process.
2.Remove any peripherals such as any USB devices(keyboard etc.), Printers etc.
3.Choose a time other members in your household not using their devices.
4.Make sure that there won't be any power cuts in your area(this is out of your control)
5.Uninstall any third party AV programs, reinstall it latter on.
6.Close all background programs, close all browsers and any utilities such as temperature monitoring programs.
7.Download the BIOS file from Acer support site and extract it to the Desktop.
8.Open the extracted folder, right click .exe file and select "Run as Admin".
    9. Follow the prompts on screen, once the process begins, you shouldn't switch off the laptop, touch any buttons, be patient during the process because the laptop may be quiet for short periods, I would suggest you to move away from the laptop during the process.
These steps may look over cautious but it's better to be safe. Good luck.
