Aspire f 15 f5-573g limited bios options - Installing new RAM

I am trying to install a second 8GB Kingston ddr4 ram stick, however, my laptop screen in black once I insert the second stick of ram. I have tested the new ram on its own and it works fine and is compatible in the first ram slot, although when I add the second stick of ram I get a black screen (regardless if its the old or new ram).
I was trying to change the voltage for my second ram slot in the bios menu but I have limited options and no advanced settings to change this. I read somewhere on this forum before that acer were able to flash one of their customers' bios to unlock more options in the bios menu. I need this also for my laptop as it has been disappointing to find that despite having two ram slots I can only make use of one of them at the minute. I am 99% sure the second ram slot just needs some power/voltage so I can be detected and I can get the 16GB I am hoping for.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated, two days of searching the internet for a solution.

Can you check with cpuz if your model really uses ddr4?

I have and it does, I checked CPU-Z before I bought the new RAM

first of all, on this forum, you wont get any info about modded bios. it is against the forum policy.
second, if i ware you and if your machine is still under warranty, i get it to a repair shop as a defective unit.
i also have upgraded my memory laptop from 1x4 gb to 2x4 gb without any issue.

Can you inform the models of the rams memories and the version of the bios? Have you tried to reset the battery?

This has nothing to do with the BIOS and it is forbidden by the Acer Community User Agreement to offer advice on unlocking any advanced BIOS features.
As with all Acer models installing RAM is plug and play and no further settings need adjusting. The situation you describe can only be caused by one thing, the RAM you have bought is incompatible with your installed RAM because the new stick works by itself so it is not damaged

Bios Version/date Insyde Corp. V1.5. 19/09/16

Memory is Kingston KVR24S17S8/8 8 GB 2400 MHz DDR4 Non-ECC CL17 SODIMM 1R x8 RAM

I have not tried to reset the battery as it would involve opening my laptop which I wouldn't be comfortable doing in case I damaged something.
I'm not sure if there is another way to reset the battery without removing it though.

there is a pinhole on the bottom of the case.

It is really not allowed to post any bios unlocking method. However, it is possible for a new version of the bios to add some compatibility with new hardware. That's why I asked for the bios version. Try resetting the battery like this:
