yes I have a helios 700, but my games range from 40-120 fps especially on left 4 dead 2 and CSGO.

For some reason my frames won't go any higher than that, won't stay steady and keeps dipping. I'm pretty sure I have all drivers updated and installed, so why is it doing this and how do I fix it?

RapidRanger66 regarding older games like csgo etc they werent optimized for the hardware you have didnt even existed back then in order to get more fps from old games you have to lower the settings thats what everyone is doing just give it a google search on how to optimize the games you play on new hardware your hardware and drivers are fine the issue its the games themselves they need optimization

This also happens with arma 3 as well, so if I start up a game like the new doom will my frames be better? This is also happening with the game Ravenfield as well. Also my hardware is a i7-9750H and an RTX 2070

Update to the new AMD Control Center

The new AMD Adrenalin 2020 Control Center is designed to give support for your hardware and contains Mobile Driver support for this exact model, the Graphics Drivers on the Acer site are only base drivers. If you haven't already downloaded and installed it then click the link below to download it. If you get a failure installing the new Control Center then download and run DDU https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html for a clean uninstall of your current AMD Center and Drivers then try to install again

    https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/release-notes/rn-rad-win-20-1-1

First make sure you game with your battery charged to 100% BEFORE gaming and KEEP plugged into the main AC power while gaming. Make sure "High Performance when on AC", is selected in your Windows Power Plan and in Nitrosense. If you fail to do this your CPU will run at around 50% of capacity and you will experience poor game performance

Open the New AMD 2020 Control Center and click the GAMING tab then click the 3 dots in the upper right hand corner and select ADD A GAME, navigate to your games .exe file and double click it to add it, or you can select SCAN FOR GAMES and let the Control Center search your harddrive for games to add. After successfully adding the game click on the game and you will be taken to another window and click the LAUNCH GAME tab. NEVER launch your game through a desktop shortcut or any other way, do it in the manner I have described.

Please remember that online gaming may experience low fps and stutter due to the games servers and bottlenecking and that has nothing to do with your GPU.

PLEASE CLICK YES IF I HAVE ANSWERED YOUR QUESTION, THANKYOU

I'm getting 80fps on doom just tried it on ultra, but when I switch to all high settings it still stays 80 to 85fps with no changes. I'm tried Ravenfield, arma 3, contagion, left 4 dead 2 and 1, etc and can't even stay in the hundreds at all. I just got this laptop tuesday and have no clue what to do to fix all this, I installed the notebook nvidia drivers for my GPU which is what nvidia told me to do and did a clean install everything installed successfully and still no change, I updated windows completely and updated the rest of the drivers and nothing.

RapidRanger66 you should completely remove your DGPU drivers with DDU and try older ones (not the latest) to see if the issue remains and updating windows completely its not a good idea most times it will create even more issues when it comes to drivers/bios updates last resort backup everything you need and perform a stock recovery clean install  to completely rule out any software issues i know its an H700 but keep an eye on your temps  and what are your exact specs ?

I have fixed my frames issue all it took was using DDU and doing a complete wipe and clean install of the latest nvidia drivers, but for some reason the only frames that haven't gotten better is the ones for CSGO and Ravenfield. Also my specs are i7-9750h and a RTX 2070, along with my temps usually stay between the 30s-40s when idle and there's occasions where temps went down to the 20s-30s with the fans while idle. Now while gaming my temps have stayed in the 40s-60s range, so I do believe my temperatures are just fine and not an issue.

Thank you, but I have already done all that and using DDU helped solve that situation and my framerate works just fine. Of course CSGO depending on which map still is unoptimized, but that's a game problem but I still get 130-300fps which is fine with me.

RapidRanger66 for older games like csgo they arent optimized for the gpu you have because didnt even existed yet so regarding older games i suggest you to google it on how to optimize them properly ingame what i have seen you have to lower the resolution in order to get more fps on csgo good luck :)
