Sleep button (F1) doesn't work properly on Acer Swift 3

I have an Acer Swift SF314-57, which I bought less than 2 months ago, and I just noticed the following weird behaviour when I click on the F1 key to put the laptop to sleep, while it is plugged in: the screen goes black, but the power light on the right-hand side stays blue, and the screen wakes itself up within the next 5 seconds, without me touching any key or the mousepad. The settings in the 'choose what the power buttons do' are set to sleep 'when I press the sleep button' both on battery and plugged in. Why doesn't the machine go to sleep in this scenario?

You likely have an app that's being active even when it shouldn't be. Try rebooting in safe mode to see if it still happens there, then use selective startup to narrow it down to which app is causing it.
