Original charger is 90W, but is 135W too powerfull? What might be the maximum charging current?

The power can be equal or greater, and the amperage can also be equal or greater. However, the voltage must be the same as the original adapter.

Can you send a picture of your power adapter settings? As I told you before, the voltage must be identical, but the amperage and power can be equal or greater.

135W 19.5V, and I still wonder what is the maximum current my laptop can tolerate? Too high current will broke charging circuitry, as we all know (like using too powerful household equipment, that will broke fuses)

I mean the settings of the original 90w adapter.

The ideal is to actually purchase another identical adapter. However, as I told you before, you can purchase an adapter as long as it meets this:

a) power in (W): can be equal or greater. The power is multiplication of the VoltageXAmperage;

b) Voltage in (V): cannot be higher or lower. It must be the same as the original adapter.

c) Amperage in (a): can be equal or greater.

If you have any doubts, I suggest you another adapter identical to the original.

The maximum current draw will be 90W, whether you are using a 90W supply or a 135W supply. Draw is determined by the charging circuit in the laptop, not by the power rating of the supply.

Is the input current really limited somehow? When I checked circuit diagram I was not sure about it

As colleague Billsey said, even if you use a 135w adapter, only 90w will be used. The biggest problem, as far as I know, is with regard to voltage, which cannot be lower or higher. If you buy an adapter with a very high voltage, it may cause damage. Now, if you purchase a 135w adapter, with 19v and 7.1A, for example, there will be no problems, because although the power in W is higher, there will be no problems because the limitation will occur on the motherboard, as long as the voltage is the same .
