Hello there. I recently got my first gaming laptop and i am really happy with this machine. I was wondering if it is possible to overclock the monitor from 60 to higher frame rates. If this is possible (probably with Custom Resolution utility), would be safe to do so?
I m fine with 60hz but i really prefer higher frame rate when playing fps games. Thank you in advance.

It depends which screen it came with, check out the screen specs below, they are from the Service Guide for your model

ACER usually only warrants 60Hz. But folks have played around with MSI afterburner freeware with varying results. Google 'afterburner' 'overclock' 'acer' 'community'. Beware though. You may be trying to push the GPU very close to the frequency and power dissipation BIOS design limits for this particular laptop. IOW, your results may vary in good, bad or barely perceptible ways. If it was my laptop --- and I was really happy with it --- and I was fine with 60Hz, I'd enjoy playing games on it as-is. Jack E/NJ
