Another overheating issue. Current solutions unhelpful. AN515-54
Hi.
As per the title, my Nitro 54 is getting a stable 92c under practically any sort of load. It might occasionally dip to 94 up to 97c
I have that while playing Hearthstone, or WoW (with 39% CPU usage) , or Overwatch as well as during 100% CPU stress test. Basically regardless of what and how much I have open, as long as I have something open, it's at 92c
When idling at 13-15% CPU usage it still goes above 80c
The absolute minimum it will go while plugged in is 76c
While at the standard 92c, the fans aren't even going at max speed, they're around 4200 RPM, If I do turn them up to 6000, the temperature still stays 92c. Also note it only does this while plugged in. As soon as I plug it in, the gauges jump up 20 degrees without even thinking. It instantly goes from 73 to 92c
I have repasted with NT-H1, then repasted again when I suspected perhaps I added too few the first time
I have undervolted -0.12
I have lowered the maximum processor usage to 98, 90 and even 60%
None of those steps have had any sort of effect at all.
I don't remember it behaving this way in the beginning. I recall it as having been quiet, not going above 80c in Overwatch. It seems to have began doing so lately, as such I suspect some sort of update which I can not recall having.
I am running the AN515-54 with 1660ti and i5 9300h
Thanks.
