I use this computer as mostly just an everyday thing for casual use and school-work, but i play a couple games on the side, one of them works smoothly 9 times out of 10 but has irregular crashes due to a “bug in the CPU” as i was told by support, they suggested i upgrade the BIOS and Chipset drivers for the Intel(R) Pentium(R) Silver J5005 CPU, is this possible to do, if so what or how? Sorry if this is an awfully dumb question, i’m not very tech experienced, thanks for any help :)

Check on the Acer support site to see what they have and compare version numbers with what's installed now. I don't remember there being any updates in the last year or two... If that's not good enough Intel may have newer chipset drivers. You typically don't have issues with updating directly from Intel for chipset, unlike graphics.
