This SW1-011 was bout as a refurb and came with Win10 64 bit. Every time Windows wants to upgrade to a newer build it doesn't have enough drive space. After trying to get it to upgrade to build 1909 for about a week I gave up and did a fresh installation using a USB drive prepared using Microsoft's Media Creation Tool.
My first attempt, trying to upgrade to 1909 (using the TF card for working space) stalled at Working on updates 1% and was still sitting there 8 hours later.
I figured the only way to get it to work was to do a fresh install; The specs say the SW1-011 was supposed to come with Win10 32 bit and that requires less disk space so I tried to install the 32 bit version. It wouldn't let me so I have installed 64 bit. After that I had to download the driver package from Acer and manually install the drivers for a dozen or more devices before it would connect to the internet.
Everything seems to be working again and I am now re-installing all of my apps &c. I don't want to have to go through all of this again the next time I need to upgrade Windows.
At present the C drive shows just under 7GB free. Is there any way to free up more space on it?
