Upgrade Acer aspire 5745G (motherboard, cpu, memory, storage)

Hello,

I Have an Aspire 5745G-728G50Mi Notebook With following Hardware.

CPU : Intel® Core™ i7-720M Processor (6M Cache, 1.60 GHz)

GPU : NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M 1GB

HDD : Hitachi Travelstar 5K500.B HTS545050B9A 5400rpm 500GB 2.5" HDD

RAM : 4 X 2GB DDR3 1066MHz PC3-8500

It's about 10 years since I bought it, and I think it needs great upgrade. Specifications were more than enough then, but now I hope I could improve a power of machine without buying any new laptop. I'm not going to buy a new laptop.

 

1) Could I replace existing Motherboard with the newer generation processor supported MB? Which generation i could have? Then I can use powerful processor with it.

2) What about graphics then? Finding motherboard would be starting point for gpu and cpu tho

3) 500GB Storage is not enough. Wishing to upgrade it to 750GB or 1TB. (My current board has SATA 2, That's why I need newer MB too) But it seems buying new ssd won't help a lot, since its SATA 2

4) 4GB Ram, Uh.. Newer 64 bit apps are eating my ram. So my lappy is too slow now. I Need big upgrade to 8GB or 16GB. Is it possible with the current MB?

Anyway what is your opinion about the above upgrades? Just dunt tell me that go for the new system.  I just want to know, which HW is updatable.

Hi,
1&2. This is out of the question, in my opinion because I can not find any MB with new generation CPU and GPU which can fit in to the chassis.
3.You can upgrade to a 1TB  2.5" SATA SSD which is much faster than the 5400rpm spinner drive you have at the moment.
4.You can upgrade the memory with a DDR3 1066MHz up to 16GB(2x8GB).
That's all you can do with this model, I believe.
