Helios 300 (N17C3) won't turn on after repasting

Hello,
I've carefully opened and repasted my Helios 300 but now after closing the laptop, I'm getting no responses whatsoever from it after pressing the power button. No lights, no blinks, no beeps.

- when I connect the power cable, the blue LED turns on.
- the only cables I disconnected while getting to the heat sinks were first the battery then the two connectors for fans.
- I have tried pressing on the Battery Reset button for 30 seconds, nothing changed.

Any tips or thoughts about where to look further?

I read that there might be security switches on some models which would prevent the laptop from turning on if it's not properly closed. Where are they? And would they give no feedback in case of an issue?

Thank you in advance,
Arash

Your model is equipped with a safety power off spring switch it is near the RAM, it is black and labelled SW2 on the board. Often when the cover has been opened and replaced, enough pressure is not placed on the switch to depress the switch fully. Locate the switch, depress it a couple of times and then place a few layers of electrical tape on top of the switch, Replace the cover and make sure the cover screws are fully tightened.

Thank you for your answer. However my RAM compartment looks like this and the SW2 switch or whatever it is, looks like this. I tried playing around and also adding some tape underneath the tiny black square that "may be supposed to" connect to/touch this part - with no success.

Still no reaction from my laptop.

I think I need to call for the warranty...

CowFee that switch its only available in some models some newer dont have it i would disassemble it all again and make sure everything is connected especially the battery display cable and all other important cables and look for any other pressure kill switch along the chassis sometimes they might have them for intrusion safety to not damage any internal components on disassembling (if your model has it check the battery pinhole to make sure  its not getting pressed down somehow) and also make sure all screws are tight assuming you have disconnected everything before disassembling it to not short circuit the mobo in any way it should be fine and good luck
