You cant have a Linux on the same system as RAID in Windows 10 if you haven't partitioned your boot drive, you have to either reinstall windows and partition the boot drive to be able to install Linux and use it on the same boot drive or get an external disk and make it a bootable Linux drive. See how a RAID in Windows 10 looks like from "Disk Manager" in caption.

To setup RAID In Windows 10 you will need a working install of Windows 10, 3 unformatted hard drives of the same size and speed, and this guide:
    1. Install the hard drives into your computer and let it boot into Windows 10.
    2. Back up everything you cannot afford to lose from your OS drive before starting.
    3. Type or paste ‘Storage Spaces’ into Search Windows.
    4. Select Create a new pool and storage space. Windows will check all drives and select them in the next window.
    5. Select the RAID type under Resiliency by selecting the drop down menu. Simple pools the disks, Two-way mirror and three-way mirror are similar to RAID 1, and Parity is similar to RAID 5.
    6. Set the drive size under Size if necessary. It should default to the correct setting.
    7. Select Create storage space.
    8. Wait for the process to complete and you should then see a single disk with the correct size in Windows Explorer.
    9. Type or paste ‘Manage Storage Spaces’ into the Search Windows box to keep an eye on the array.

the Laptop is right out of the box so unfortunately I cant start over and thus the RAID setup is what ever the default acer configuration is, all I know is that I need to find a way to change the SATA operation mode from RAID/IDE to AHCI.

I have the Nitro 5 AN517-51-784H, and I would like to use RAID also. I would like to know how to install the 3rd drive which is part of step one posted by StevenGen.  I have no problem with the first two NVMe drives. I know there is a 2.5 inch bay that could have connected to the same place as the second NVMe drive (if I wasn't using the second NVMe drive and wanted to use a 2.5 sata instead) Is there any other way to connect a 2.5 sata drive that I would install in the bay?
