Hi everyone,

I have some questions about this laptop that I have (AN515-42)
What's the idle temp? (Mine sits around 47 degrees on CPU while the GPU is at 44 degree) NOTE: only used for surfing the internet
and also
The battery life while using only for browsing/movies/music? (mine is around 2-4 hrs)

I also want to know if I'm not experiencing this alone..

I have your exact model. Those idle temps are good. Battery life is a harder question, web browsing is actually quite demanding on the battery but I get about the same as you and I can usually watch 2 movies. I make sure I have all background programs closed and only essential programs enabled in the start up menu. Make sure your power plan is set to balanced in Windows and Nitrosense. Do a battery recalibration every couple of months, discharge to around 10% then charge to full. Never let your battery completely discharge, 10% is good. Use plugged in when possible, modern battery technology shuts of charging at 100% then trickle charges when battery reaches 98%, this will maximize your battery life

Thank you for replying, is it ok to always plugged in my laptop to my charger even if it's Fully Charged while only using it for web browsing?

YES, as I said in my post above the charger shuts off at 100% and only trickle charges when the battery drops to around 98%, your laptop is designed by Acer to be used this way and the method is harmless to the battery, this is modern battery technology only the older technology harmed the battery
