Hi, my model comes with RTX 2060, 16 GB RAM and Intel Core i7 9750. While playing games like Ghost recon wildlands, Borderlands 3 etc, the CPU temperature is reaching 85 to 90 degree.  I am placing the laptop over a cooling pad. I bought it from flipkart 2 weeks ago. I called the customer support guy and he mentioned to reinstall the OS but that didn't make any sense to me. He then said that unless and until the CPU is reaching beyond 95 C, he won't file a complain and he further added that while playing these high graphics games 90C is ok. My CPU is already undervolted at -.125 V.

Questions:

1) Is 90C temperture of CPU is normal while playing high end games?
2) as per the support, should I reset the OS and further more is it ok if it is at 90C as per the support
3) Should I undervolt the CPU further?

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated

Hi, Sorry to hear about your issue. Find the information regarding the temperature of your unit below.

Predator products are engineered to withstand higher operating temperatures than traditional notebooks. These systems include features that help with cooling and heat dispersion. The CPU and GPU are designed to handle temperature spikes in excess of 98 degrees Celsius without causing damage to the components. It is common for PC temperatures to spike temporarily during heavy gaming or graphic usage. If the system encounters excessive temperatures that could damage the hardware, it will automatically shut down to protect the components from becoming damaged.
If in case if the unit is still hot, you can contact the Acer Support and they will help you. Check the link below.

Also check the link below and check and for the RAM and SSD/HDD upgrades for your unit. They are Crucial and they guarantee compatibility with your exact model. Write down the part number for your reference and then order it from Amazon, it's cheaper and also has fast delivery. It is the most tested to be working.

    Hi @xapim and @MartinJohn00001
Below is the response I got from the acer support team:

"We would like to inform you that, temperature between 85 to 93 degree is a normal in predator and nitro.

Please dont undervolt the system and we will never recommand to undervolt, it might cause damage to your system."

They have further mentioned that if in idle state, the temperature goes beyond 90 then that's an issue but while gaming this temperature range is expected.

What do you guys suggest? Should I force them to have a look into it ?
