Acer Aspire ES1-132-C06L upgrade to SSD
Hi I a few problems getting to a certain stage, one being that on disk management it showed the size of the ssd as 2048GB. I thought it was the SATA lead as when I took the ssd back out and connected it through usb everything was ok. Anyway after a lot of aggro I finally cloned the eMMC 32 GB. So on that drive there was a recovery partition plus C partition and on the SSD the same recovery partition plus D partition with the OS windows 10 on plus the rest of the drive blank partition . I read elsewhere that to get it to boot from new ssd not only had you to put it at top of boot menu in BIOS but the eMMC had to be disabled also the MBR had to be disabled. I did not know how to do the MBR but the eMMC I wiped and change the drive letter on SSD to C.
Since then I cant get it to boot, Ive tried fresh install, but just get error messages eg 0xc0000185 or 0xc0000098. Ive tried some fixes from people on the internet but no joy. Anyone got any idea I would be very grateful
thanks
