My Nitro 5 AN515-53-52FA i5 8th Gen bought second hand, randomly gave me a blue screen upon start up. It was stuck on 0% for 20 minutes and I decided to hard restart it myself.

It is now stuck with no display but with a blinking power light and keyboard back light.

I tried 3 variations of the restart by pressing the battery hole with a pin with no results. Currently trying to get a HDMI cord to check on an external monitor. The left hinge is also loose although I'm not sure if that affects anything.

Anyone with a similar experience and know a way to fix this? Thank you a lot for your time.

  • Hi,
Switch off the laptop, disconnect from mains, open the RAM door at the back, remove the modules one by one and check whether it works with one module, remember to close the door and secure it with the screw every time you check the memory modules, also check the rubber pad on the door for any damage because if the pad doesn't make proper contact with the micro switch, it won't work because whenever you remove the RAM door it releases the switch to cut off power to motherboard.
