Hi everyone, wondering if anyone can help me with this.

Two weeks ago, I sent in my predator laptop to Highpoint Malaysia because it suddenly would not turn on. I was told it was a problem with the motherboard but they did not specify what and simply told me that it would take about a week to be ready. Up to this point, I had been booting from a XPG NVMe which I had installed myself with no issues, but after I got the laptop back, I have not been able to use the NVMe drive when I have it installed in the motherboard. However, when I boot from the drive using an external caddy, it works fine. Does anyone else have experiences like this? I'm planning on going back this week to see if they can fix the issue, but I wanted to hear what people here can share first.

Thanks in advance!

  • Hi,
I have heard similar problems with XPG SX 8200 drives, you could try this, go to BIOS screen and press F9 to set it to default values, then press F10 to save and exit, this may or may  not resolve the problem but worth a try, XPG drives have chips on both sides, it might have caused the problem with this drive but I can not confirm with any evidence, also check whether it's seated properly, you can remove it, insert at an angle and secure it.
