LCD continuous black/flickering on start up R3-471t

My R3-471t laptop was showing only a black screen with a faint white flickering when powering on. Nothing else would show up, and when I plugged an HDMI into a TV, nothing came on either. I tried reseating the LCD connector, however this just led to a strobe-like pattern on startup. You can slightly see it in the video I linked. I'm not sure if I broke something else while trying to reseat the connector or what. I'm not sure what is going on. However, would it be interesting to know if the image appears correctly on an external monitor?
