Is my Acer Nitro 5 dying? Model AN515-53

I’ve had my Nitro for little over a year I got it Christmas Day 2019 and it’s been absolutely amazing with some minor hiccups that I’ve fixed. Recently I’ve noticed a more sluggish performance and my frames drop a lot my quicker then usual and I’m having everything freeze on me for about a minute once and a blue moon where I can’t close or open anything. 

I’ve ran health scans and anti virus and it all comes back fine and clear but I have noticed if I open task manager at first it will show my CPU is 100 percent usage but 5 seconds later will go to like 25 or 40 percent which seems to be the norm as it’s been in that range since I bought the PC. I’m not sure if my CPU is dying or if something has corrupted it. I have also noticed that once and awhile my disk will be 100 percent and I will use disk cleaner and it only temporarily solves the issue and I will end up having to use it again next week. 

I havent updated windows because when I last did I made my speakers loud and crackly which I’m not sure why I tried trouble shooting but the problem still remained. 

My question is should I bring my PC into bestbuy or another store for a tuneup/cleaning. At this point I don’t know what I should do.

  • I believe it is a configuration problem and not the hardware. However, I suggest you download this program to check the intel cpu status: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/downloads/eula/19792/Intel-Processor-Diagnostic-Tool?httpDown=https://downloadmirror.intel.com/19792/eng/IPDT_Installer_4.1.4.36_64bit.exe
    In addition, if the fps is falling, it would be interesting to configure the computer for high performance in both power and battery and also disable battery boost in the geforce experience.
