I am trying to continue a thread I started this morning.  Very frustrated with this posting process. I tried resetting the battery, that didn't work.  Another answer was to reinstall the device drivers.  I am trying to ask how to do that, but the forum won't post my comment!  This is day 3 of owning this laptop and I am very frustrated.

Go to Device Manager and expand Battery, left click to highlight the 1st item there then right click and select Uninstall (not update driver). Repeat for 2nd item. Restart laptop, the hardware will be reinstalled along with updated drivers

I unplugged the laptop before shutting down. Waited about 10 minutes before starting up. Plugged back in and it seemed to charge for a minute or 2 but the went back to not charging.

Sorry my friend but in that case I suspect either a bad battery or bad charger. About the only way to know is to plug it into a compatible charger that you know is good, if it charges it's a bad charger if not it's a bad battery, sometimes a local PC repair shop will let you plug into one of theirs to test it
