Acer Aspire TC220--- Two beeps and a black screen

HELP! Went to use my computer yesterday.... Turned the power button on. Two beeps and a black screen. I shut it off... unplugged the cord and removed it from the back of the computer. I took off any USB etc from it... disconnected the keyboard and the mouse etc. I checked online to find out what the two beeps might mean. A parity issue. Memory possibly or troubleshoot motherboard. I plugged it back in and turned it on... two beeps again. I shut it off again. Did this three times... same things happening. So, I took the side panel off and removed the 8GB Memory... put it in the other slot...tried again... same thing. It is the only ROM there is in there. So, now I don't know what to do. DO I assume the thing is bad and get a new one? Or, is there something else I can try. It is very strange and, as the computer is not used a lot, I am at a total loss. HELP!!!

You can try this. Out of voltage, you have to remove the RTC battery (silver coin) for a few seconds and put it back again.

Thanks so much for your assistance. Could it be that the battery needs replacing? As you can tell, I am not very knowledgeable about this stuff......That seems like a good place to start re cost of repair/replacement items...

The beep codes for you system say:

Two short beeps. CMOS failure • CMOS checksum error

Very likely the CMOS battery has gone bad. Just swap it out for a new one.

If instead you are getting a long beep followed by the two short beeps it's a GPU failure and you should try removing and reseating the graphics card.
