Acer Aspire ES 1533 won't boot

Hello. Since the December windows update I have been having problems booting this laptop. Sometimes it won't boot. Power light comes on, no screen activity then power light goes off. Sometimes power light comes on, stays on until I press and hold power button and again no screen activity. Or it can get the to Acer logo, then goes matrix on me and freezes there until I force it off. Rarely I can get it to boot. I have reinstalled windows, update drivers and bios, but still no joy.
It is windows 10 1903. I have removed some Acer software that starts up with windows, but again. No joy. Getting very frustrating now. It is more stable when I remove the update, but given CVE-2020-0601 I really don't want to leave it without updates.
Currently since the bios update I have been able to start it.
Any help greatly appreciated

Place a few layers of electrical tape to better press this button and see if it solves the problem.

Is your notebook still under warranty? Have you tried to disconnect the lition battery and also the rams memories?

No warranty and yes and yes lol. Tried both.

You said it here "Currently since the bios update I have been able to start it." Did you mean that the problem with black screen is no longer occurring?

Typo. Unable to start it. My bad.

If the notebook turns on but does not display, it may be a problem with the rams memories. You can test with another ram and see if the problem persists.
