Aspire E1-521 won't power on: blinking power led

Hi!

I have an Acer Aspire E1-521.

It was always very slow but yesterday suddenly it won't power on: the power indicator as the power button was blinking blue.

I have tried to:

1. change power outlet: as before

2. power on without battery: no sign

3. check the power adapter: 19V, ok

4. press the power button for 20s without battery and power adapter, wait a few minutes, power on with battery and power adapter: as before

5. power on without RAM: as before

6. disassembly the notebook and check the CMOS battery: 2.95V, ok

What the blinking power led means?

Je crois que 20 secondes est un court laps de temps pour dissiper toute l'énergie statique. Recommencez la procédure, mais en appuyant sur le bouton d'alimentation pendant 60 secondes.

I believe 20 seconds is a short time to dissipate all static energy. Repeat the procedure, but pressing the power button for 60 seconds.

Hi! I did it but didn't work. And I have ordered a new battery, replaced the old battery and the laptop powers on!

But it didn't charge... Worse, after a night (with the PC powered off) it discharged completely. I suspect there is a short circuit that drains current. In fact I checked another time the power adapter and it say -19V (with the minus!) so I have a new one but the laptop remains dead.
